DAY 16, MILE 1
Day 16 of running across America, 70 miles per day.
We had a pretty great day again yesterday. Day 15 was over 65 miles. So, woohoo, hopefully we're seeing a multi-day trend here. Today, we're hoping to go over 60 again—or I should say not hoping, pushing over 60.
As of yesterday, which is two weeks and one day, we are over 26% done. I'll let you guys figure out how all that math works and what the logic could look like, but that's actually a better position than I thought we were in, given the days lost with bronchitis, the time in the ER, rest, just slow days, etc. So that was pretty encouraging. We still have to get up and over the Rockies. We're headed there maybe late today, if not certainly tomorrow. Otherwise, today should be a pretty easy going day. It could be some slow climb, but it should be relatively in the valleys and then we're going to start getting into the mountains again. So, working through some minor tweaks and bugs over the last several days that I haven't bored you with, but that's expected when running and pushing as much as we are.
So, I'm feeling pretty good. And breathing, I think, is pretty well in a good direction. Still have a little congestion coming out, but it's not hindering any. We'll see how the day shapes up.
