DAY 15: "X" MARKS THE SPOT

Day 15: It's hard to believe we're in the third week. It's been a good day today so far.

We're moving along pretty well. We had some logistical excitement—we had a hard time finding our starting spot this morning. So if you can imagine running on roads that go straight for probably 60 miles, sometimes it's hard to find the little "X marks the spot." We do what's called a stakeout most nights, which is just a little spray paint symbol. It's hard to see at 1 o'clock in the morning. That took some time, and then the Garmin battery died. I don't know why but that's why you always have two GPS's at all times. So, if one does fall off, the backup is already there.

It's been a pretty great day. Mother Nature has been gracing us with a lot of good weather. It's not as hot as it could be. It's not as dry as it could be. So we'll take it.
