Day 11 of running across America, 70 miles a day.

I was feeling pretty crappy at the end of the day yesterday, but it was a pretty dynamic day. Running itself actually went extremely well. We finished about two hours early and still closed over 60 miles, which I think surprised all of us. So why did we close two hours early? That's when my chest started to feel like it was time to end the day—I'm guessing my chest was reacting to the humidity dropping and the temperature warming. So that was starting to get a little bit tighter, and then my body was really not accepting a lot of food. It took a long time to eat.

Thankfully, we had those extra two hours. So all in all yesterday was a pretty impressive day compared to what we expected. At the same time we're still going to be as careful as possible and not really chase as much as just go with it and see where we land.

We're headed into day 11 this morning feeling pretty good pretty, and pretty much the same as yesterday in the sense of the start. I think the bronchitis is continuing to improve and the legs still feel pretty awesome. I can't say that I've ever felt any stronger and I don't know that I ever have been because I've never had to do what I did on days three, four, and five.

We're going to keep chasing and we are taking off here shortly.
